Infants - adults

1.An infant is a very young child who can't walk yet.

2.A toddler is a child who has just learnt to walk.

3.Informally, we often refer to children as kids.

4.A lad is a boy or a young man. (not a girl)

5.Teenagers are boys and girls who are aged between thirteen and nineteen.

6.An adolescent is a young boy or girl who is no longer a child but who has not become an adult.

7.Active and lively young people, especially children, are oftened referred to as youngsters.

8.A youth is a boy or a young man, especially a teenager, who has not yet reached manhood.

9.The youth are young people considered as a group. (singular in form requiring a plural verb)

10.We often refer to the adults as the grown-up.
