Mid-autumn Festival
1.It is one of the major festivals in the Chinese calendar.
2.It is also known as the 'Moon-Cake' Festival because moon-cakes are eaten at this time of the year.
3.They are made of grind lotus seed and a duck egg.(crashed into fine powder)
4.The cakes recall an uprising against the Mongols in the 14th century. (bring back into memory)
5.The call for revolt was written on pieces of paper and embedded in the special cakes.
6.Then they were smuggled to compatriots. (people who love their country)
7.At Mid-autumn Festival, children are allowed to stay up late at night.
8.They light and carry their lanterns to places they like to visit.
9.They watch and admire the moon rise.
10.Besides moon-cakes, they also eat fruit like bananas, grapes and star fruits.
